About Megan
Megan Gardner is a life-long Long Island resident who brings heart, expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail to every client relationship. With a rare blend of deep community knowledge and a distinguished background in design, fine art, and valuation, Megan provides buyers and sellers with a truly comprehensive, concierge-level real estate experience from start to finish.
A graduate of St. Lawrence University (1991) and the Sotheby’s American Arts Course (1993), Megan began her career at Sotheby’s New York, where she worked across numerous departments including American Paintings, American Furniture & Decorative Arts, Folk Art, European and English Furniture, Porcelain, Silver, Art Nouveau/Art Deco, Jewelry, Books, and Collectibles. She later became Director of the North American Client Accounting Department, giving her a sophisticated understanding of high-value assets, presentation, and market positioning.
Following her Sotheby’s career, Megan played an integral role in her family’s business, Auleen Gardner Antiques in Bay Shore, specializing in American Furniture and Decorative Arts. In 2016, she became the Long Island Associate for Nye & Company, a leading fine art and antique auction house based in Bloomfield, New Jersey that provides appraisal and valuation services for the fine arts and antiques marketplace.
Megan’s professional expertise is complemented by her extensive advocacy and leadership experience. She has served as a Board Member of Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD) since 2009, a leading Long Island nonprofit providing comprehensive services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. As a mother of a special-needs child, Megan brings both professional insight and personal understanding to families navigating complex transitions and housing decisions.
A frequent writer and sought-after speaker on advocacy, innovative programs, and advanced therapies for developmental disabilities, Megan has appeared on the Donna Drake Show, Long Island News Radio’s “The Non-Profit Voice,” school district assemblies across Suffolk and Nassau Counties, and was featured in Newsday’s “People On The Move.”
In real estate, Megan is recognized for her results-driven, client-first approach. She is the recipient of the 2024 Platinum Award and was named #1 Agent in Bay Shore for both sales volume and units in 2025. She also maintains a strong nationwide referral network as a moderator in the Real Estate From The Heart and Real Estate All Day groups on Clubhouse.
Megan holds her Real Estate Tech Pro Certificate, Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification, Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) designation, and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation. Assisting clients who are downsizing—or helping families navigate the emotional and logistical process of transitioning loved ones into their next chapter—is one of her greatest passions.
From strategic pricing and marketing to managing the deaccessioning of household contents and finding the right next home, Megan offers a level of care, guidance, and expertise that goes far beyond the transaction.
Whether buying or selling on Long Island or through her trusted referral network nationwide, Megan has you covered.
